Fiesta Texas-Style Pinto Beans

Ingredients
- 1 lb. dry pinto beans
- 4 oz. ham hock or salt pork
- 3 Tbsp. Bolner’s Fiesta Brand Pinto Bean Seasoning
- Water to rinse, soak, and cook
Directions
- Arrange the dried beans in a single layer on a baking sheet or clean towel, and carefully sift through to remove any broken beans, stones, or debris.
- Rinse the beans thoroughly under cool water before transferring them to a large pot.
- Cover the beans with water in the pot and let them soak in the refrigerator overnight.
- Drain the soaking water and refill the pot with fresh water, making sure it covers the beans by about an inch.
- Place the meat into the pot with the beans and bring everything to a rolling boil.
- Reduce the heat, stir in the Pinto Bean seasoning, and let it simmer for 2 hours until the beans are soft and tender.
